This collection of essays addresses negative retirement trends happening in the United States and puts forth ideas to enable Americans to develop healthy retirement savings.
- Saving Social Security: A Balanced Approach (Brookings Institution Press, 2004), with Peter A. Diamond.
This book discusses how to save Social Security for the future.
- Protecting the American Homeland: One Year On (Brookings Institution Press, 2003), with Ivo Daalder, Mac Destler, David Gunter, James M. Lindsay, Robert Litan, Michael O’Hanlon, James Steinberg.
This book discusses improvements that were made after the September 11th terrorist attacks, and also provides ideas about how to increase protection of Americans.
- Protecting the American Homeland: A Preliminary Analysis (Brookings Institution Press, 2002), with Ivo Daalder, Mac Destler, David Gunter, Robert Litan, Michael O’Hanlon, James Steinberg.
Written shortly after the September 11th terrorist attacks, this book analyzes how homeland security could improve to protect the safety of Americans against future offenses.
- American Economic Policy in the 1990s (MIT Press, 2002), co-edited with Jeffrey A. Frankel
This book discusses the successes of economic policy during the 1990s, as there was a growing surplus, and explores what policy could be put forth to improve the current economy.
